Greetings!

Let me take the opportunity of thanking you for sponsoring the evening snacks for the children of our home on children’s day. The children that we have at our home in Mundgod are either fully orphans or have a single parent and those who come from dysfunctional families. We have at present 50 children (boys and girls) and we are providing them with nutritious food, education along with meeting their basic needs. We have children from the age of 11/2  to 16 years.

The reason why we opted to work in the geographical area of Mundgod is simply because we find that the need is much more than we can think or imagine. Mundgod even though comes under Karwar district, is covered by 2 districts i.e. Haveri and Dharwad. The district administration of karwar hardly ever visits this taluk and takes stock of the situation because of the distance factor. Mundgod taluk has 96 villages and 8 wards. With the population and the inflation of food price on the rise, there has been quite a bit of floating population of daily wage farm workers. These people stay away from their families for months together and indulge themselves into all kinds of unhealthy immoral practices Thus inviting upon themselves disease such as AIDS, TB, etc..

We also are catering to the needs of OVC (Orphaned and Vulnerable children) children whose parents have died because of AIDS, there exists a social stigma within the relatives who are taking care of them . These children are not allowed to go to school because the other children’s parents pressurize the school authorities to restrict these OVC children to come to school.

It has been a quite a challenging task for us to take the initiative to work among such needy of the society. After many years Amway Opportunities foundation has recognized us and has sponsored the education and the medical expenses of 48 children, apart from providing us water softener plant and water cooler this year.

We as a family encourage you to visit us and see how you could partner with us in our needs. Presently we are constructing 5 bathrooms and 5 toilets for the girls home and also looking at the possibility of having a buffalo for milk for the malnourished children.

Please feel free to contact me at 9448110056 in case you need any further details.

Thank you once again.

Leslie.

Greetings..

We would like to inform you that we are introducing a Pocket Travel Directory at COB 2009 to help lot of Tablers who travel.

We are now in the process of compiling the Directory information. We seek your support and co-operation in this regard.

Master Directory will be printed in due course.

Please find attached the Directory proof of your Table. Kindly make the necessary changes in the same format. Please mark the changes in RED to enable us to identify the changes and update the same in our Master Database. The unmarked records will be taken as correct as per our Database.

Please mention the additions and deletions to the list separately. For additions we require the New member form and age proof of the new inductee.

If the table has purchased the NM kit and misplaced the NM form, please inform to Nandini at secretariat to enable us to send the form as a soft copy by email.

The attached directory proof does not contain the tablers who are retiring as of 30-6-2009. For your information.

Your quick response well help us in bringing out the Travel Directory 2009-10 as accurate and as fast as possible.

FTE data collection exercise

There have been numerous occasions where many of us must have stopped in our tracks before blurting out the number of schools we have built under FTE because we did not have the data to back our claims. Not any more...we have done our bit to kickstart the journey and now we want you to do your bit to complete the same.

This entire exercise has been taken up because till date only projects which have availed of FTE funding from RTIT or RTIF have been reported to the Secretariat. But there are hundreds of other FTE Schools wherein the Tables have raised the funds on their own but have not been reported to the Secretariat in the absence of an effective mechanism of reporting. Absence of figures for these projects have rendered the FTE data list at the Secretariat incomplete.

Correct input of FTE data from each and every Table is important otherwise the entire effort will be an exercise in futility. Absence of correct data from any one Table will render the entire FTE list inaccurate. Therefore the onus as well as the ownership to make this FTE data collection exercise a success lies with each one of us as members of this wonderful movement.

It is already two weeks since mails have gone out to each and every Table across India with every mail containing the data on the number of School projects built by a particular Table.  But alas, only a handful have reverted back with the corrected figures. It is an earnest request to you all to take up this task with all seriousness.

Do whatever you can......do whatever it takes....... coax and cajole your HT's & Square Legs for old data, use any means to get in the correct data for all their FTE projects till date and revert back at the very earliest.

Fantastic day of Friendship with an opportunity to reach out and wish you all a life,  full of fun and FRIENDS.

Badi mushkil se duniya mein dost milte hai (it's difficult to find a Friend in this life).but we Tablers are the chosen ones who are given this platform to make friends and convert this into life time celebration of FRIENDSHIP. So let us use this platform and take FELLOWSHIP beyond partying of 3-4 hours. Let's do something that connect Tablers, Tables and Areas together, more strongly, leaving our individual Table no's for administrative reasons and come under one umbrella called ROUND TABLE INDIA. It is said that NO FELLOWSHIP -NO TABLING but let's know Fellowship more closely and completely to know depths of Tabling. So your Fellowship theme for the year is:

KNOW FELLOWSHIP-KNOW TABLING

Plans have been made for that and soft copy of year plans of DREAM TEAM must have reached you. To give you a brief, this year we intend to carry on with existing Fellowship plans like National cricket championship, singing and dancing competition, National Fellowship and 41ers day that were brilliantly executed in years gone by, with little improvisations for more fun n involvement. And to add we shall have following:

Fellowship Caravan: To create an opportunity that will connect Tables and Areas with one another and deliver the message of SERVICE THROUGH FELLOWSHIP to President, Republic of India to whom we raise a toast in every meeting.

Buffalo Club: Launched at COB, this has already created lot of interest. While connecting unknown Tablers from different Tables and Areas, it will bring lot of fun and humour in all events including Table meetings. It will be further launched at all Area AGMs with an opportunity for all to become member of this club that is very popular in international Tabling.

SAFE-T(abler): This is to bring in safety of Tablers n families in all our events, especially while driving back from late night socials. It will be launched at respective Area AGMs.

Bimonthly Area Events: It is highly recommended to all the Area Fellowship Convenors to organize bimonthly joint events at Area level. A data bank of different themes and games will be made available for ready reference. Ideas can also be exchanged on the e-groups to be formed with all AFCs and Table FCs.

Friends, Fellowship is the key element of Tabling and if you are the Fellowship convenor of your Table/Area then YOU are the key for making all those DREAMS come true that your friends have dreamt for their respective roles in Tabling. Good Fellowship will certainly bond all Tablers together that will bring good coordination and effective execution of all the plans and eventually will take us to our common goal, our aim of SERVICE THROUGH FELLOWSHIP.
